Dion was very excited to kick off the very first Electronation party in may 2002 and never stopped playing his own particular style since. His sound can be described as atmospheric upbeat electrodisco and as one of the Electronation resident djâs brought him to spin at many different festivals (Dance Valley, Fast Forward Dance Parade, Impulz Outdoor, Free your Mind Festival) and clubs and venues like Paradiso (resident), 11 (resident 2004-2005), Sugar Factory, Melkweg, Panama, Club More, Patronaat, Tivoli, Ekko, Nighttown, Off Corzo, Las Palmas and abroad in 333 (London), Stadspark (Antwerpen) and Tamaraz Lounge and Sofabeat (Tel Aviv, Israel). As a DJ, club night promoter and label boss of Klakson Records (a well known and highly respected label all over the world), Steffi has been promoting electro in the biggest sense in the Dutch dance scene ranging from experimental electronic breaks to funky, pumping, uptempo electronic disco, dirty minimal house, acid and electro in clubs (Mazzo, Melkweg, Paradiso, Doornroosje, Effenaar and 013) and festivals (Lowlands/Awakenings/Mysteryland and Extrema/5 days off) and abroad in countries like France, England, Italy and Germany.
Now sheâs a resident in Paradiso showcasing her own concept called chi, a platform for female djâs, vjâs and performers. Also on a regular basis she organises her own parties in Pakhuis Wilhelmina and Steffi is a resident dj in the Sugar Factory at âVreemdâ. Together with Marsel (Delsin records) and Ruud (Rude 66) she organises the succesful âBoem Tsjakâ festival for Dutch labels who showcase their national and international djâs and producers.
