external midi clock?

what is it and how does it work?
cause if i set from manual to midi clock the bpm clips freeze... and there's nothing on the manual talkin about external clocks, only the tap button of manual mode...

midi clock is a beat signal sent from midi control devices that have a bpm control of their own. It will not work unless you have a midi device that is constantly sending a signal for each beat. It is just another way to control the bpm (instead of tap) that many of us find useful so we can keep all of our midi equipment in sync.
