M3 Max MBP Performance Issues

Hello,

I have a M3 Max with 40-gpu cores and 48gb of ram. Running on the latest version of Arena.

I have a 4K composition with a single 4K output.

I have a 19 layer comp, with 19 slices all done via slice routing instead of routing to the composition.

I currently have one slice outline effect, two .png converted to DXV (unsure if necessary, but trying anything atm), and two 4k clips converted to DXV.

With no clips selected, I am at about 43% on memory, 48% on the GPU, and about 75-85fps.

Whenever I fire the column with the clips mentioned above, performance tanks to 44% on memory, 97% on GPU and about 43 fps.

The only effects being used is AutoMask and Blur. I do not understand why my performance is bad when this computer is definitely capable of more.

Any help and information is greatly appreciated!

Sounds odd indeed. What version are you using? Can you send us a simplified and consolidated composition on mail@resolume.com
