500gb sata hdd

so my question is. if i use a 500gb sata drive instead of my 160 sata drive. when im performing will it take longer for clips to be found in the 500 then then the 160? im running a 160 7200 rpm. should i upgrade it to 10000rpm if im running resolume? would that be better?

Unless you have the 500Gb drive sitting around, why not go with two 250Gb SATAs in RAID0 config? That works well, even with 7200 rpm SATAs...

thanks man. so does that mean that i will get better performance? also how do you format raid?
