E6600 runs resolume superbly (640x480 all layers with no lag at all), and runs a lot cooler than the x2 6000

its what i'm running and i'd never look back - i was always an athlon person until the core 2 duos. got an e6600 and couldn't be happier.

Yes, i've always supported AMD over intel but just brought a Dell M90 laptop with a T7600 (2.33ghz) which is simalar to the E6600 (2.4ghz) and gotta say its fantastic, never goes over 60% use when using 3 720x576 vids with 3 effects and using nexusintents wii controls as well. Doesn't even break a sweat

AMD will have true 4-core processors first and will take the lead again but it swings in round abouts, Core2 Duo is the better processor at pressent though
