resolume for videoconferences on msn and skype

Post by renna »

Hello! Just started out with Resolume 2.41 the other day, and i've been literally struck... i've been hours on it :D

just wondering: there are some softwares that permit you to send over a video conference a premade video instead of your webcam (for instance "softcam" from luminositi). So on skype or msn you can show whatever video you want and your contact will believe it's your webcam. Now the great question... Is it possible somehow to send over the output of resolume? I guess there's need of some third party software (softcam doesn't seem to handle this) that will "capture" what you're sending out to the second screen. Do you know such a software?
i'd love to show my friends my ultimate conquests in vjing... or even me on webcam with some effects or layers on top!!

Yes, i have found a way to do this through hardware.

you need a Videocard with Svideo out. and a TV capture card with SVideo in.

Plug the output of your video card into the input of your capture card. use the webcam as the input to resolume, and the output your second screen. in skype or Msn, select your tv capture card input as the webcam.
