file format/codec problems

Post by welcomematt »

i'm new to using resolume 2.3 and although the program seems to be working fine with the demo footage provided, i cannot import any of my own videos.

i'm using videos downloaded from youtube for an idea my friend and i have came up with.
the videos don't work in their original format (mp4) and since downloading a video format converter i've tried all the other file formats i can (.avi, .mpeg, .mpeg2, .flv & .wmv) but it reads the message "problem loading file, file is ignored"

I've downloaded an additional 2 codecs to try and make it work (picvideo mjpeg & indeo 5.1) but still nothing.

can anyone give me any help?

sorry if this is a stupid question, i'm very new to resolume.

For R2.41 it's best to use .AVI with the PicVideo MJPEG codec (note that Indeo5 is no longer supported on Win7)
For R3, it's best to use .MOV with the DXV codec.
