I have a G450 matrox videocard. Right now it works smoothly with resolume. Only the flashfiles are a bit chunky resolutions. Does anybody knows if I upgrade to a Pharelia, does the dvd max output function still works (without borders.. offcourse)

DVDmax works with the Parhelia
- i have tested resolume on one and it runs well. We have parhelia's in our edit machines where i work. Any more info required - feel free to email me.

I'm pretty sure if you use the DVDmax (aka overlay) function on your machine - your output will be 320x240 no matter how you tweak it. This will explain why your flash files look jagged - to get full res you will have to use dual screen (loosing your preview) and run the output @ 640x480. Your flash files will look fine at this res.

Hi guys,

DVD-Max just takes the output and scales it to your second screen output so if u use higher res output the video will be better... but i found that DVD-Max is a bit processor UNfriendly... because when i use 3 layers of video 320-240 indeo without DVD-Max it works fine but with it starts to lag.
i recommend using the zoom function on the little output window at the rigth top of resolume. only problem is that u get only 320-240 output but with filter enabled it looks pretty good...

and Plouf the flickering is because your refreshrate is higher than most beamers can handle.. if u set your second screen to 50 Hz it will work fine.(had the same problem)

Good luck, SuperficiaL

I think he actually means something else , the dvd-max function flickers (per renderd frame , i think) from a total black renderd image to the avi renderd image and back agian.

hmm so you cant use dual head functions with matrox cards... or you can use them but then the preview is blank...
