Hi,
I have a Mac Book, just bought it three weeks ago, so it is quite up-to-date I guess. It is the black one with 2.4 GHz etc.
Resolume basically runs fine, also doing proper output on a 2nd screen. Unfortunately it crashes after about 5 minutes. This crash is reproducible, it is independent from what I actually do in the program. Log is attached.
Also I might add that I use a Japanese macos, so there could be problems with path names. However I did not access any clips saved under a Japanese pathname. It seems like the Avenue file browser cannot display Japanese filenames/directory names.
Suggestions:
1) full screen mode for the GUI
2) position / resizing of the menus is saved with exit or can be saved in preferences
3) I used to do beat sync switching between the layers a lot (no fading). Is this possible with Avenue already?
Cheers from Tokyo,
k

Latest version of display drivers found
According the database, you are running the latest display drivers for your video card.
No compiled vertex array support
This may cause performance loss in some applications.
Multitexture support
This feature accelerates complex rendering such as lightmaps or environment mapping.
Secondary color support
This feature provides an alternate method of coloring specular highlights on polygons.
S3TC compression support
This feature improves texture mapping performance in some applications by using lossy compression.
Vertex array range support
This feature improves performance in some applications by using AGP for dynamic vertex transformation.
Texture edge clamp support
This feature improves texturing quality by adding clamping control to edge texel filtering.
Vertex program support
This feature enables a wide variety of effects via flexible vertex programming (equivalent to DX8 Vertex Shader.)
Fragment program support
This feature enables a wide variety of effects via per pixel programming (equivalent to DX9 Pixel Shader.)
Texture anisotropic filtering support
This feature improves the quality of texture mapping on oblique surfaces.
Occlusion test support
This feature provides hardware accelerated culling for objects.

Hi,
I can't seem to open the .zip file. Could you try attaching it again?

Re: avenue on mac book
Hello,
please rename the .zip file to .txt
Your forum does not accept uploading files with e.g. the extensions .txt or .zip

Re: avenue on mac book
sorry, i meant the extensions .txt or .log (the two that i tried before renaming to .zip)
Re: avenue on mac book
actually it seems like the crashes might be in some way related to browsing files. At least it doesnt hang up from just playing the demo clips (so what i wrote in the earlier post was not correct). The probability of crashing is higher when i start loading/switching/removing. For external clips i used the robots footage pack from the resolume website to make sure i dont run into codec problems.
