Displace compositing mode?

Post by gpvillamil »

In Res 2.41 there is a displace compositing mode, you can displace pixels in one piece of footage according to the luma values (or red/green values) of another piece of footage.

Does this exist in Res 3? There is a displace effect, but it only seems to work on one piece of footage - ie. pixels are displaced according to values in the same clip.

Hi gpvillamil,
You've been busy i see. Thanx for the all the feedback so far b.t.w. It's really helpfull.
Anyway, what exactly do you mean with displace compositing mode. You probably mean you miss a layer mixer which you used in 2.41.
Wasn't that a third party mixer you used, a FreeFrame plugin? If so could you track down the name.

Well, the Intrinsic Mirror Displace Freeframe mixer plugin seems to do this, but I think I was using the Visualvinyl Veejaypak version:

Highly recommended, by the way.
