You might know good and bad programms which all can play wav/mp3-files with a timeline-view. (Just to name some: classic: Serato & Traktor Scratch or cheap: reloop spin etc.). Most of them need an analog/digital (asio)interface to get the timeline signal. Maybe this even could be solved easier by using some vestax vci midi interface (www.vestax.de) and assigning video channels/clips and playheads to the new resolume scratch fader (A/B).
But some people just wanna play real vinyls. So what about that? I think this would be interesting, because no timecodevinyl-dj-program does play videos. So this would make resolume a real turnie/lappy based svm-1000 with the capability to mix wav/mp3! (okeh, u will have to support mp3 first and recode the resolume surface to some djfriendly design..)
There is another softwares, which does not need any analog/digital-interface but which plays the timecodevinyls. Its called Quad2 (www.schaack-audio.com/quad.html)...
Damn, gotta learn C..
