realtime firewire i/o

hello all,
plaese,please (ill say it again)please
can we have(if its at all possiable)
realtime firewire input/output.
i use resolume(happily fo almost a year) but my friends use macs

1. i like to be able to throw in to the mix what he is outputting from final cut pro 3 via firewire,
2. 1 of my friends uses pixelshox on his ibook (800mhz 640ram) he goes
fullscreen w/ adapter we are able to make the vga composite then we go into a canopus advc-100 converter box,so its composite in firewire out into resolume in resolume, its able 2 see the advc-100 but i get no signal
i think from last time we tryed it gave a message "can not accses disk.

any help would be great on this matter this program rocks already
and w/ freeframe its the shit.
a little cross platfrom action would only sweetin the pie.

p.s. we are useing a swicther for our sets (not bad results)

firewire input into resolume works fine on my machine, so it has definitely been implemented.

Does your firewire in work in other software but not resolume?

I think this is a Vfw vs DirectShow issue rather than a "firewire" issue. As I am aware resolume only supports Vfw input which many modern PC's using DirectX do not have.

the current version does use directshow for live input, we used to use vfw in resolume 1.0, but we are still having problems with directshow so that's why not everything works as well as it should..

We use firewire input also. No problems overhere with it works ok. So it must be a settings or directshow problem.

sorry i could not reply sooner(looking for a
day job)
my firewire works when i connect my camera.
its when we try to send the output from the ibook.

my friend goes full screen in pixelshox then useing
this apple gadget thats vga to composite we run it into
a canopus advc-100(composite in firewire out) into
my computer running resolume i have a pyro 1394 card.i will keep messing with it.
cant wait for the next resolume release.
