Nice! I think triggering clips with a touchscreen in Avenue works great now.
We have to make it possible to move, scale, rotate, etc, directly on the composition canvas to make this easier with touchscreens.

This post inspired me to try something funny along these lines.
I used a VNC client on my iPhone to connect to mac os x 10.5 screensharing on my mbp running resolume 3 and this gave me a nice wireless touchscreen controller for resolume! I may actually use this setup just for fun at an upcoming gig to vj from the audience wirelessly. Could be fun yeah?
