Is this possible with Resolume?

Post by CWilliam »

Hello,

I'm trying to determine if Resolume or any other application can perform what I have in mind.

Basically, I want a program that reacts to music within a set of parameters that I set. For instance, I'd like to create a 'scene' that communicates a particular mood...like 'aggressive' or 'sentimental'. I'd like to add video and images to this 'scene' and have a program randomly play the content (along with effects) in time with live music. I'd like the scene to evolve randomly over time, similar to how Audiomulch (www.Audiomulch.com) does with sound.

I'd also like like different musical frequencies to trigger different behavior in the 'scene'. Like low frequencies producing a shaking effect, while high frequencies trigger a fade or certain color.

I don't know how much of this is fantasy...but it's what I have in my head. I realize I can send a midi signal out from a program (Ableton Live, etc) to Resolume, but I'd like to send an audio signal instead.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your time!
