Hey all,
I'm looking for suggestions for video capture (to be used as a live video source) within Resolume 3. I've tried Firewire inputs, but the video signal is always interlaced, and the frankly the Resolume Avenue deinterlacing software leaves much to be desired (it really has no effect on interlace artifacts). I've also used the Osprey 560 capture card, which is an older technology, but it does have excellent deinterlacing capabilities. The problem with that card is that is requires a desktop computer (with a PCI-X slot) and it is slow: with the video deinterlacing switched on, the video is always delayed by at least 1/2 second. I'm looking for a solution that will present as little delay on the video as possible. Firewire, again, is close, but the quality isn't there. What do other folks use for video input?

Fast video capture for Resolume
Re: Fast video capture for Resolume
as far as i know, with a DV-Firewire Solution you always have little delay! There are special boxes like Scan Converter just for Video to DV/Firewire.. maybe those work better!?
next suggestion woult be a Hauppauge Hybrid USB-stick (if i'm not wrong they are the only ones which work on windows and osx too!).
This should be the best solutions so far heard of, but don't know exactly about the delay, maybe someone has more experience with this cards!
