res3 system requirements
res3 system requirements
Sorry, but I can't find, what minimum hardware requirements are for resolume avenue? I have laptop, but I think resolume doesn't work because of my weak video card...? Do I really need 1gb minimum video card to run avenue?
Re: res3 system requirements
Minimum system requirements
PC: ATI Radeon 9600 or later. NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 or later. 1GB RAM.
Mac: Intel processor. Quartz Extreme graphics card, 1GB RAM.
(Resolume Avenue is not compatible with integrated Intel graphics processors).
The 1GB RAM is your system RAM.. not your videoRAM... (imho... 1GB is really minimal.. if possible aim for more) especially if you use Vista... More RAM won't benefit Avenue that much, but it will for your backgroundprocesses and your OS.
See my signature for my system specs... On both systems (and also on a XP sp3 config i have) Avenue work great.

@ GeeEs
how much memory do you have on your 7800 gtx?
may you can try a comp with 2400x600
on my 7600gs with 256mb 1920x480 runs fine (3 layers @30fps) , 2400x600 i get under 1fps
with not even 1 layer
on my other pc with ati 4670 512 2400x600 runs fine so long
i wonder if it's the gpu (7600 hat 128bit, 7800 hat 256 like 4670)
or the graphic memory...
just tried on my laptop, 480p runs but not really smooth, 600p i get about 8-10 frames with 3 layers!
here i also have 256mb, memory interface i don't know.. but normaly the 7600 shoult be faster!
wanna buy a new card maybe there is more performance in higher resolutions with more memory!
as bart or edwin said if the comp is above 2000pixels then there is a bigger "layer" to process or so!
