Resolume crashes with Display Link Adapter (USB to DVI)

Hey Guys.

Resolume normally works really fine. Really good work.
But I´ve a Problem.
When my USB to DVI Display Link Adapter is plugged in to my MacBookPro and I start Avenue, the Applications crashes down when the start Screen of Resolume is displayed.
Resolume also crashes when i´m plugging in the Display Link Adapter when Avenue is running.
On the Display Link Adapter the only output is the Desktop.
So i don´t think that the Problem is because of too low hardware.
I also have installed the newest Display Link Drivers.
And Videos with QuickTimePlayer are displayed without crashing.

My Hardware Specifications are:

MacBookPro 4.1, 2,5 GHz Intel Core2Duo, 4 GB RAM, Geforce 8600M GT with 512 MB RAM, 250 GB HDD;

i think this will only work with matrox graphic cards or other devices which have qaurtz/openGL support!?
and i don't think that usb interface is made for jobs like this

Yes, you´re right.
I also have a Martrox Triple Head2Go. And the Matrox Card works.
But I want a Monitor for external recording. And thats not possible with a Matrox Card, because i can not make a separate full screen on one of the outputs.
I hope you know what i mean.

if you want to record... you have to use a scan converter or a hd record/capture device which "eats" vga or something like this!
if you just want to preview the output on a monitor, you should use a vga/video splitter.
my last tip is to use the window mode and the matrox 2go... so that only 1 monitor shows the window output...

ok. thanks for your tip. i already have a recorder with hdd. But I hoped it will work with this USB adapter.
i have to test with window mode.

i`ve tried to set up in Window mode. It is no Problem setting up one window for one screen.
Output/Windowmode/Screen2 (Screens connected the Matrox Card)

But when i have to set up a second window for the second screen.
Output/Windowmode/Screen1 (The Laptop Screen)
When I click this Point the Window from Display one jumps to Display 1.
So there is again only 1 Window.

Normally there should be 2 Windows afterwards or not?

Can we get the displaylink crash fixed though? I can't afford a matrox dvi device and I need 2 outputs on my macbook pro.

I honestly don't think there's any good reason why resolume should crash just because I have a displaylink device plugged in, especially since I haven't even tried to use resolume with that output at all.

Come on guys, don't make me have to switch to another piece of software over something this silly.

And yeah, I'm using the new 3.1.0.

We don't think a usb to dvi adapter will work with Resolume because they probably do not support openGL. But we have ordered one to see if we can fix it.
