recording

when recording on a mast mac book pro, using a single clip in dxv, pal res, i find the fps of the recorded clip is too low, eg 17fps when should be 25.

any tips?

i think the problem is the harddisk.
if you play the clips (ok, it's only 1) from your harddrive and record it on the same, that's maybe a bottleneck!

It should handle one file without problems. Of course it depends on teh resolution you are working on.
What codec and what resolution are you working with?
