Hi,
I've started using avenue and one big headache appered.. All my old loops are converted with indeo, for resolume 2.4. It is said that avenue runs perfect with DXV video files. Is it worthy to convert all my old stuff to DXV, does it really make any big difference? I've started doing that, but i see that quality of indeo converted video is a bit better than DXV.
any suggestions? Had that kind of headache as well? How did you manage to get rid of it?
DXV or INDEO!?
Re: DXV or INDEO!?
For me, since my clips are all 640x480, I switched to PICvideo mjpeg a while ago. I tested DXV in comparison but found it to not benefit me as I wasn't doing higher resolutions at this point. As for indeo, can't say, since I haven't ever used that. Started out using Midivid codec http://www.midivid.com/codec/ and it was ok but had artifacting due to compression.
Cheers

According to other posts on the Resolume site, the DXV advantage only kicks in at resolutions above 640x480, so unless you are going for hi-res footage don't bother.
If you want to speed up Resolume, you might want to try Gamebooster, which temporarily shuts down background processes. I got a 5-10 fps boost from it.
