Is there any way to do this? I have been prepping my compositions with my clips running from my large studio drive and would like to now run them from my mini portable raid.
Thanks

have not tested this but according to smuseus
You can relink your files by opening the composition file in a text editor and "search and replace" the new path of your video files.

Want to map LED rings with Resolume? Then look no further: https://goo.gl/f2dPGu

might be easier to just make sure your external drive has the same letter ( ie - D: ) as the drive the clips were orriginaly on. havnt tried it with Avenue, but it works with other softwares.

Re: Changing Location of a Composition's clips
to change drive letter in XP
on fresh reboot with no programs running
1. as admin, Right-click "My Computer"
2. click "manage" from the popup
3. Right-click the drive, the partition, the logical drive, or the volume that you want to assign a drive letter to, and then click Change Drive Letter and Paths.
4. Click Change.
5. Click Assign the following drive letter if it is not already selected, click the drive letter that you want to use, and then click OK.
6. Click Yes when you are prompted to confirm the drive letter change.

Re: Changing Location of a Composition's clips
Thanks guys.....it's a shame that Res doesn't have some sort of project handling system like Live....

Re: Changing Location of a Composition's clips
Strangely, since I used the other drive, my compositions do not display correctly in Resolume's browser. There are no composition names......the number of decks is displayed but the decks themselves do not show....Bart/Edwin any ideas why this should be happening and how I can get them back?
Thanks

Re: Changing Location of a Composition's clips
I am using a macbook pro. I am a little confused, can anyone give me a clue as to what I need to search for and what I need to replace it with. Sorry for being a bit thick here.gradek wrote:have not tested this but according to smuseus

Re: Changing Location of a Composition's clips
ok, I've managed to do a find/replace and updated all the file paths. When I re-open the composition about half of my files are no longer in place in the composition.
I'd be interested if anyone has the same issues or knows of a solution.
Cheers

Try using a programming editor like NotePad++ that does refactoring, not just search and replace.

thanks, I'll give it a go.
