3.1 not working after install

I downloaded 3.1 and it works fine when it launches from the installation. Anytime I try to reopen, it freezes.
I'm running Vista 64 bit.

I was using 3.0.1 for awhile instead but it recently started acting up - it wouldn't start the beat clock and thus all my BPM sync'd clips and effects were obsolete.

Resolume uses the soundcard for accurate BPM sync, uses clock of card. Make sure your audio settings are correct, even though you are not playing audio the card is still used.

Well that's good to know - I must have not enabled my drivers.

I got 3.1 working - I uninstalled 3.1 and 3.0.1 deleted all associated files from the My Documents folder, defragged, cleaned my registry and now it runs perfectly.

I have a feeling it was something in the preferences file that was crashing it.

Now to move forward into generative Flash clips and OSC!
