lan/firewire networking to a mac

Post by infectedspleen »

hay all,

i was just wondering if it would be possible to send the output of resolume via lan or firewire over to a mac book pro, then use the incoming resolume input on the mac in modul8.

No, that's not possible. We recently bought was a Blackmagic Intensity pro capture card (works in Windows and OSX), this enables you to capture from a HDMI source with resolutions up to 1920x1080. You can connect one computer via DVI (you'll need a DVI to HDMI cable) and capture the signal in the other computer, works like a charm!.

I have a very similar problem... I have a Mac Book Pro with Live 8 and Max for Live patch witch controls Animata via OSC. Than I want to send the output of Animata to PC where I run Avenue and treat the output from Mac as a livefeed. What sources Avenue can treat as a livefeed ? Is it only Firewire input or can it be HDMI ?! Does USB input will work good? Is that possible to do it with Black Magic hardware ?
