Hello All. I am just getting into this and need a little help if you have the time.
1. I have found that Resolume works best with clips no larger than 1.5Mb, I have lots of stuff larger than that, how can i chop it down ?, what program can i edit the clips with and save as a avi, mpeg or mov. Can I do this with DVD's through my drive on my laptop ?

2. What's the procedure to get the second screen working so i can mix on my laptop and send it to tv, or projector via s- video jack.?

3.is it possible to use a simple digital camera to get a live feed ?

Thank you

quick answer to your questions

1. - resolume plays files bigger than 1.5 Mb with no problems - check which codec you're using if you have problems with playback. If you need to edit clips, use Premiere or similar, or for free software, try virtual dub

2. - 2nd screen output depends on your graphics chipset in the laptop - check through the forums for info on different laptops

3. - yes. Resolume takes DV input, once again, check through the forum

good luck

Will having Divx installed hinder resolume ?

divx being installed won't hinder resolume, but divx encoded clips are not the best to use in resolume. They require a lot of processor work to decode/play, so you won't get the best performance from resolume using divx,
Check previous forum posts for alternate codecs.
