Velocity control

Is there a way to map MIDI velocity control to, say... Opacity and/or Volume?

If there is initially someway to map it to a dashboard knob, then I suppose a knob with both opacity and volume would do the trick...

Yes you can use the velocity of a midi note, just map the midi note to the parameter you want to control and enable Velocity in the midi mapping panel that appears in place of the preview monitor.
