Sorry but I'm new to VJing and MACs.
Is it possible to use my handycam over usb as a live input capture device?
I'm turning the camera on and selecting USB mode - but it won't show up under the Sources menu.
The only thing that shows up is the 'USB Video Class Video' which is the built in iSight camera feed?
Is there anything I need to do in the settings in Snow Leopard or in Resolume to get it to work?
any help here is much appreciated.
ps - Using a Macbook Pro (15in with dedicated 256mb GPU) and Sony DCR SR 37.
MAC + USB Sony Handycam for Live Capture?
Re: MAC + USB Sony Handycam for Live Capture?
In general, USB is not the preferred method to stream live video, if it is supported at all. Can you get the stream to work on other applications (such as Quicktime)?
Also, could you give the brand and model of your camera, so we can look into it further?

I can't figure out how to test the stream on a mac? Snow Leopard has the QT player 10, I cant see a way to input my camera?
