nudge tempo / change bpm

Post by Rene »

I use BPM mode and BPM parameter automation very often (one of the things I like most in Avenue). But it's hard to sync ("pitch") to the music (without MIDI clock - which is not always possible/handy).

Resolume's BPM "+" and "-" buttons are fine, but they change the BPM value by 1 (which is too much, in my case).

2 Requests:
1) "Ctrl" + BPM "+" or "-" should change the BPM value by 0.1
2) a tempo nudge function like in Ableton Live would be great!!

you can change all values very fine with typing in the value by clicking on it ;)

I think what is meant is to be able to use the +/- buttons to perform finer tuning. When mapped to midi this would make this operation much quicker than manually typing in the required value.

More precisely I'm talking about two different things:

1) finer grained control for permanently changing the BPM value via the "+" and "-" buttons (change by 0.1 instead of 1.0)

2) temporarily speed up or slow down the BPM counter to manually sync Resolume to the music. (nudge)

Hey Rene

A modifier key like CTRL-clicking shouldn't be too hard to implement. We'll have to take a closer look at how to implement midi mapping or nudging though.

Thanks for the feedback!

Joris
