Avenue // FFT not on MAC not working at all

I am actually testing the latest version of Resolume 3 Avenue on my Mac. Somehow the FFT input from the line-in is not sampled at all - mic is woring neither. Both are fine in Garage Band, so this should not be a hardware relaated issue.

Can anyone help me out on troubleshooting this one? Tried all kind of gain settings, but it simply does not show any input anywhere. There is a slight crack in the output when I enable internal input.

Please help me out on this one. I am seriously thinking about investing, but without FFT this is useless to me.

Have you enabled the FFT in the audio tab of the preferences?
