After some days of coding (I'm so bad at coding) I set up this small app, which I call "kaOSCilator". It provides you a choas-Mode for Resolume Avenue 3. It is written in VB.NET (.Net Framework 2.0 required, recommended 3.5 with SP1
In the first place I need to tell you its still very buggy (As I said i'm bad at coding) but I'm trying to fix this.
Right now it just offers you a random clip playback for 3 layers only. If youre composition has less than 3 layers there is no need to worry, then there is always the empty clip triggered. Bypass this via the opacity. If you have mor then 3 layers only the first 3 are triggered (layer1,layer2 and layer3).
OK this is how it works:
Resolume Avenue
1. Enable OpenSoundControl at the application preferenses.
2. Disable the "Bundles"-Option for OSC.
3. Set the port
kaOSCilator:
1. via the "Load Avenue Composition"-Button you select the composition file that you want to play randomly. (Composition are stored in C:\Users\<Username>\My Documents\Resolume Avenue 3\compositions\ )
2. Set up the Timers.
2.1the Deck Timer as the name says triggers the deck were the clips are triggered from. I recommend a pretty high value if you have many clips per deck. Also if the deck is still loading and clips are triggered they arent loaded properly)
2.2 The Layer-Timer give the time a new Clip is startet in a specific layer ( That means a clips is only loaded if the layer changes). This value should be below the DeckTimer to have a nice flow from videos from the same deck (they are in the same deck for a reason)
3. Press the "Start Timing"-Button an the Clips are triggered.
P.S. If you change values press the "Stop Timing"-Button first!
Important: -If you work with a Firewall on your PC you should allow the kaOSCilator to access UDP 127.0.0.1:port . This is because of the nature the messages are sent via network.
-If the app starts with an erro, try to run it with administrator privileges.
