Using 2 gfx cards but can only get output to work on one

Post by dRead »

I am using 2 gfx cards (nvidia 250 & 285). The 250 is for the interface and the 285 for the output, I am having no luck getting it working. The only time the video will play on the output is when it is in windowed mode and part of the window is on the interface display. Alternately, if I use the 2nd output from the 250 there is no problem, the video works fine. I have installed the latest drivers from nvidia.

Win Xp
core i7 950
geforce gts 250
geforce gtx 285

thx for any help,
dR

On Windows 7 this will work fine, on XP it does not unless you set the videocard drivers to 'Compatibility performance mode'.
