I've just installed Resolume on a machine with no dedicated soundcard and there is a certain amount of popping and clicking.
I've installed Asio4Aall which did make it better but even with a large buffer size I get audio issues unless I reduce the composition resolution to 400x300....Which seems a shame.
My next move is to turn off a few non-essential services etc.
But I'm thinking I should get a cheap soundcard. Are there any recommended ones? How much difference,if any, does quality make to Resolume operation?
Think I have an old soundbloaster card somehwere - do you think that'd do it?
Recommended Sound Card?
Re: Recommended Sound Card?
When I assembled my PC I bought an M-audio audiophile 24/96.
This soundcard is not very cheap (80-90 euros) but very useful.
- Excellent sound quality (@ 24-bit/96KHz)
- Deley Output 0 ms
- Audio IN/OUT with RCA plugs (very useful if you perform with a DJ to have a perfect Audio Input FFT)
- MIDI IN/OUT, perfect to receive/send MIDI signals and MIDI Clock from any machine and use Midi controllers, like BCF or BCR, without install any driver or software (fewer problems than the USB connections).
HERE is where I've bought mine

Re: Recommended Sound Card?
Thanks - I've used these and know they are good cards.
Its ultimately an installation machine which I will never use for anything except my Resolume set.
So looking for the cheapest option!
