Heyho
There are several function where I'm really missing a Midi assignability:
- Most important: the horizontal scrollbar of the deck. It would be super-massive-extremly helpful to scroll via a Midi knob!
- Finetune the global bpm via an endless Midi knob. The momentary solution is quite unprecise (at least for me)
- Also nice to have for instant tempo changes of bpm-synced clips: *2 or /2 button via midi buttons

Scrollbar and BPM-buttons Midi assignable
Re: Scrollbar and BPM-buttons Midi assignable
all great ideas

Re: Scrollbar and BPM-buttons Midi assignable
+1 for deck scroll bar
+1 for BPM fine tune (see also http://www.resolume.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6267)

Re: Scrollbar and BPM-buttons Midi assignable
Yep, sounds very good, what you assumed in your post! :
1) finer grained control for permanently changing the BPM value via the "+" and "-" buttons (change by 0.1 instead of 1.0)
2) temporarily speed up or slow down the BPM counter to manually sync Resolume to the music. (nudge)
I want to add that both should be midi controllable. A ctrl+click thing is .. well.. kind of unsuitable in a hectic, shaky club/concert situation. Don't like to use the mouse.

Re: Scrollbar and BPM-buttons Midi assignable
point 2: I got my Resolume set up to change the BPM's value by steps of 0.01 via an endless controller. see the picture below. Is this what you are thinking of?

++1 for horizontal scrolling and global bpm multiplicator

I don't think, It's what I'm looking for. But I might be wrong.
The way you use it couples the midi controller directly to the BPM. That means, if the DJ changes the tempo quite much, you do beat tapping and if you than touch the controller, it jumps back to more or less the old tempo instead of finetuning the new (tapped) tempo. Right??

Thanks! - Did not think about that

No, if you tap in a new tempo, the new tempo will be the base for changes via MIDI (as long as you set the controller and Resolume to "Relative")mfo wrote:I don't think, It's what I'm looking for. But I might be wrong.

Cool, I didn't know!Rene wrote: No, if you tap in a new tempo, the new tempo will be the base for changes via MIDI (as long as you set the controller and Resolume to "Relative")
Nevertheless, "nudge" still would be a nice addition. (Find myself very often hitting the resync button again and again, when my bpm is fine, but the visuals are out of phase.)
