BPM sync question

I have Resolume 3.3.1. I started using it a week ago and i think it is amazing program.

I have a question about BMP sync to external source.
I did everything that it says in manual
-preferences->primary sound capture driver
-buffer size 1024
-connected audio output from the second laptop to the input of the first one

Now when clip is playing i choose BPM sync and then choose auto.

Should it automatically detect BPM from the external source and change the BPM value at this point?
It looks like it is just staying the same all the time and does not depend on the input signal.
Maybe i missed some steps.

Can anybody help me? I am VJing tomorrow and i wanted to use Resolume for the first time and i really need this feature...

resolume cant work out the BPM from the audio, you have to either tap it in or type the tempo you want to use.

Any advice how to achieve best results with it?

For example if i tap it and it shows 130 BPM.
Then i am trying to do 1 beat loop and it just begins looping it with no reference.

So if it is 0.2-0.3 beat behind the external beat it will not look synchronized.

Please, correct me if i am wrong.

thats what the "resync" button is for.

given some practice, you will get to know how much in advance you need to press it to compensate for video latency.
