Recorded video file not finished! Can it be recovered????

i did a 35 min performance on a macbook and recorded the whole thing. when my set was over, i closed the app without stopping the recording.

So im left with a .mov thats 3.9gb that no software can understand. i assume that its because resolume did not have an opportunity to finalize the video file.

is there any way i can recover this .mov???

I hate it when that happens, occasionally I have been lucky and recovered the file by removing the file extension (.mov) and then adding it again ... but that doesn't seem to work every time. I wonder if there is a .mov utility that can fix the file, kind of like when an .avi file is corrupt there are tools to repair them.

didn't work i tried a couple different file extensions and no go.

Unfortunately this has happened before and we have never been able resurrect those files ;-(

ok well then im going to have to rerecord that set in the privacy of my own home... by myself... so lame...

it wont be the same tho, cause i was completely intoxicated when i recorded the original one and it came out amazing, lol.
