Hi,
I'm now using resolume to project 3d stereoscopic video's.
The setup is 2 beamers with 2 polarisation filters. Matrox dualhead to go. windows 7 i7 laptop and resolume.
This works fine but at home i don't want to setup my beamers. I want to use my 3d zalman screen which works perfect with vegas 10 in 3d.
To get this working i want to use a interlaced mask on the front layer (3) for the left eye projection and layer 2 for the right eye. The problem with masks in resolume is that mask are being resized to the size of the video. So the video should be resolution of the screen which is 1680 x 1050.
If i change the video in this resolution every thing works fine. if i change everything in to 640 480 including the interlaced mask then everything works fine in window preview.
But now i want to use small resolution video 800 by 600, 640 by 480 and 480 by 360 (slomo 3d) and full screen preview without to rescale them to 1680 by 1050.
Is there somebody with a great idea to solve the problem.
thanks for your time
greetings

Re: interlaced mask for 3d interlace projection
Hi Hans,
I'm also experimenting with stereoscopic footage and Resolume. Until now I tried with side-by-side and top-bottom system - and in general it works at any resolution (no idea if the Zalman supports any of these systems besides interlaced)

Which filters do you use? And what material is the projection screen made of? (I tried some cheap ones, without success)budhabuilding wrote:The setup is 2 beamers with 2 polarisation filters
Not quite sure, but I think scaling of interlaced footage won't work (maybe when the monitor does the upsacling, e.g if you send 640x480 to the monitor)budhabuilding wrote:But now i want to use small resolution video 800 by 600, 640 by 480 and 480 by 360 (slomo 3d) and full screen preview without to rescale them to 1680 by 1050.

Re: interlaced mask for 3d interlace projection
Hi rene,
i use the polarisation from 3dstore.nl. 135 and 45 for left and right
My screen is silverscreen. i could buy one for 250 euro's
it's 4 meters by 3 meters.
for montage i use vegas 10.
I do my recordings with 2 sony hd2000
The side by side projection works perfect with my matrox dualhead2go.
i use 2 cheap optima beamers.
for montage i use the zalman and when working with resolume i do the interlacing by using 2 layers same size as the output scale and mask the toplayer with an interlaced jpg
