Chaos channel fixing

Hello, I would really like to be able to use the chaos feature on 1 layer and be able to manipulate the others by hand.

For example i would have the chaos feature flick through CG effects whilst I control the film footage clips at the same time.

Is this possible?

That would be really graet...i also want to have the feature that i just have to push my mouse button once and then could go over several layers to activate them, not like it is at the moment that i have to press on every square.
I think this might not be such a great problem.
