I have spent the whole day with the Resolume demo and had planned to purchase it. However, I just realized, much to my surprise, that you can't do transitions! Not even a simple dissolve without somehow automating the crossfader. Is this really the case? I hope this isn't a deal-stopper, because otherwise this is an extraordinary system.

I just looked at Resolume 3 for the first time yesterday, having never used the previous versions. I have also read through the forums looking for a way to assign a transition (just a dissolve) to clips that are triggered successively. I understand the crossfader concept, but I am looking for a more straightforward way of automating transitions, particularly since I am using Ableton to fire off clips. I wouldn't want to send controllers to the A/B crossfader every time I want to transition clips!
I was just surprised by this because all the controls are there, it just can't be easily assigned to a clip as a specific transition with a duration, etc, as you can do in say Arkaos GrandDJ, which by the way is not nearly so interesting as Resolume. Amazing software.
Thanks. Randall

Sorry if I am new to resolume, but I am not following from the screenshot. How do you automate a transition from one clip to the next? And how could you designate a duration for the transition?
