howdee folks.
could anyone (bart'n'ed?) explain a little more about the screen setup dialog and it's options please.
what excactly does process resolution and output resolution mean. (i can imagine something of course, but i would be interessted in a more "technical" explanation)
what settings would you recommend using the TVout on a RADEON 9500 pro card?
should clips always be the same size as the progress resolution?
what happens, if not or if clips at different resolutions are mixed?
any help is appreciated!
cheers,
bowser
manual elaboration please
process resolution is the resolution on wich the calculations are done, bledning, effects etc.
the output resolution is the resolution the final mix is scaled to.
if you set the output resolution to a higher resolution then the process resolution is smooth scaled to that resolution using your videocard, this gives in a lot of cases a nicer image.
all the clips you load are scaled to the process resolution before they are being processed. so using different sizes of footage is no problem. still it's a not smart thing to do when you use 640x480 clips when rendering on 320x240.
cheers

thx edwin!
is processing at 400x300 and outputting at 800x600 to my TV still the best solution (as u suggest in the manual)?
or have you come to other conclusions?
would you recommend using the second VGAoutput instead or is a TVout just fine as well...?
sorry for so amny questions...
