Advance Output Lockout from GUI

Post by fruitygreen »

I got locked out from my GUI while exiting Advance Output setup.

How: I ignorantly sent an output to Screen 1 (Resolume GUI) and Screen 2 (Main Output). After clicking okay output were on both screens as set obliviously.

I tried "Esc" and few other stuff but the screen is locked to Output screens and I couldn't access my GUI.

Is there a trick to get out of that scenario if ever I do it again?

Windows 7 taskbar was no help. Right Clicking causes more errors.

My discoveries.

While locked out during dual output screens. Pressing "Ctrl" + "Shift" "2" doesn't throw output to 2 , does nothing.
But Pressing "Ctrl" + "Shift" "1" outputs Screen 1 with only video overlay over GUI. Pressing "Ctrl" + "Shift" "1" again then the GUI appears over video output. After all that , Pressing "Ctrl" + "Shift" "2" does throw output to 2 .

Seems like a bug to me. dunno. Is it intentional?

Another discovery is : Clicking on screen with the hidden GUI then Pressing "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Esc" and voila the GUI appears.

Ctrl + Shift + D --> disable all outputs...

If that is not working:

Edit the "config.xml" file --> Look for options with "screensetup" and change fullscreenoptions from 1 to 0 or screensetup from dislpay 1 to display 2/3/4/ or whatever suits your setup ;-) ...

Save config.xml and restart Avenue...
