first your manual page says the variables are capitalised, and flash MX is now case sensative, so the help file should be fixed please.

anyway, im having trouble accessing the variables, if i put them as a text feild like in the demo file it works right away, but when i use them as a variable in some action script it doesnt seem to work.

i dont want to give away what im making till its finished, and i will share it with everyone.

im using it as a direct variable, assuming it just sends the variable to flash as a number it should work with myfile.

thanks, and if anyone else has made any files that use the rparameters from resolume ild love to see what you have done.

oh and ive tested, if i declare what rparameter1 is at the start of the flash file as 40 it works, so the error is coming from somewhere in the way resolume sents the value to action script, but not the text, cause in the same file i have a working text feild that displays the current value of rparameter1

hi levon,
i made an example .fla document.
this is how we use the variables in resolume.
make sure you set the timeline mode of the channel to flash.
flash anim
i exported it to flash 5 so i hope most people can open it.

cheers

the first one works nicely! the second is a no go ... it just shows black.

also check the examples in the flash folder where you installed resolume. probably: c:program filesresolume-2-0-betaflash

post some more if you have them! we,d love to see what people do with this feature ;-)

how to set up this music stuff? do I always have to use a Audio input from outside my laptop? Can i not test with local audio like winamp or something?

you have to open up the sound thing in windows (little speaker icon on start bar) double click it.

goto options-Properties and change the adjust volume for: to recording and make sure wave or CD audio what ever the source is ticked in the little space below. click ok.

now the mute tick box should be called select. tick the one you want to play into resolume.

hi Ruud,
you will to check your sound setting like levoin said.
and when you're set you can lett resolume respond even to error messages on your system ;-).
in the sound-settings box you can select wich sources you want to enable.
