Whether you're using the nifty screen warping in Arena 4, or the good ole Keystone effects, this is the place to showcase your mapping skills!
To start you off, here's some good stuff by Onkel Tuca Visuals & 4youreye, for Chris Liebing.

Re: Post your mapping videos
very cool. are you using the standard avenue plugins or something extra?
Re: Post your mapping videos
for the first one we used a lot of cinema 4d camera settings to try to match the projector lens. after that we found the perfect model to work with and then just a few tweaks in the keystone fx.
for the second one we had the cad file of the room, so we calculate the size of the surfaces in pixels/projector resolution/lens throw. Then again with the keystone fx we placed all the layers of each surface in its proper place.
Glad you like it!

midiadub,
could you clarify how the cinema4d/cad models were used in conjunction with resolume?

Hi Grif,grif wrote:midiadub,

Cad files are useful to get the measures from the architecture you want to map, if you don´t have the cad file you can always get the measures yourself with a laser measurer. With this measures you´re able to create the content with the right proportions with the software of your preference (C4d, AE, ...) that matchs the real architecture. Then with Resolume you´re able to rescale, rotate, keystone to place your content in it´s proper place.
In the first example whe made the screen ourselves and used our own projector so we could find the lens in cinema 4d that matched the projector lens, we render out lots of jpeg from cinema 4d with diferent camera lens and load it in resolume to see wich one was correct. Then we had the right model to work with, just textured and animated in cinema 4d, export our dxv loops and play with resolume!
Got it? Feel free to ask
Sorry for the long explanation, my English is quite limited!
