Touch Osc layout Bug.

Post by zuvassin »

Clip triggering Crash TouchOSC

When triggered from Resolume, CLip mapped to a toggle Crash the apps.

Faders looks Fine...

Idem when adding/removing effects on clips or layer whose opacity are mapped to a fader in TouchOsc... (both with and without clip active)

but strangely not on composition...

I can post in PM my layout... for debug purpose only...

i'll try changing in bang...

Hi Zuvassin,

I was trying to reproduce your bug, but could not really find anything.
It was not really clear to me how to reproduce the crash, or what exactly crashed (Avenue or TouchOSC)? Here's what i did:

I made my own layout for touch osc (I'm using version 1.7.4 on iPhone 3g and current development build on Windows 7).
This layout has two toggles. They map to /activelayer/clip1/connect and /layer1/clip1/connect (this is the same clip).
When I use the buttons, they connect fine. Also, when I connect the clip i see touchosc receiving the osc and turning on the toggle. So, no crashes here.
The layout also has a fader, mapped to /layer1/clip1/video/opacity/values. In Avenue's OSC mapping I've changed the clips opacity osc output adrress to /layer1/clip1/video/opacity/values as well. There are no crashes when adding / removing video effect on the clip. Also not while i'm moving the fader on the iPhone.

So, maybe we have fixed this bug without knowing.. Or, is it the fault of TouchOSC? Or, maybe it something else. Did you try the 2nd beta? If the problem still exists, let me know and i'll pm you my email so you can send me your layout.

Cheers,

Tim
