resolume avenue one layer overrides another

hey guys,

bit of a n00by question but how do i make 2 layers of clips override eachother regardless of what layer there on

If I understand what you are asking, you want whichever clip you trigger to go to the screen, regardless of what layer it lives in? See the manual under the section "Triggering Clips", subsection "Clip Target":

The default thing that happens when you click a clip is that it plays on the layer it is held in. You can also set clips to play in the active layer (this approach will be familiar to Resolume 2.x users) or even to use the next available layer.

Try "active layer" for the effect you are after.
