PC or Macbook Pro
PC or Macbook Pro
I'll make it simple: Avenue\Arena on PC or Macbook pro? which setup you think is better? SSD on booth ofcourse...
Re: PC or Macbook Pro
I work with both and IMO Resolume run better in MBP...
Re: PC or Macbook Pro
Since syphon and quartz composer only runs on OSX, MacBook pro, unless the PC is a hackintosh.

forget hackintosh, it's more trouble than it's worth. You obviously have the money to spend, so get e real Mac.Shorties wrote:Since syphon and quartz composer only runs on OSX, MacBook pro, unless the PC is a hackintosh.
I have 2 Resolume licenses, one on a PC, and another on a MBP, they both work well, but i'd recommend Mac, for the above mentioned Syphon, and QC.
Re: PC or Macbook Pro
I used Avenue on PC and Mac and no on mac all the time and would say Mac

Re: PC or Macbook Pro
Mac is maybe more Stable, Quartz and Syphon also works.
on PC the Hardware is cheaper and also the Performance can be better.
don't know which resolutions on macbook pro with 6750 are smooth.
but if you need more performance for multiscreenings and high resolutions, you might be happier with a PC

... And this is the other side to it... depends on what you are wanting to do... pc is much cheaper and you can always replace and change. With my MBP im a little stuck on what i can do with it. Still suits me fine thoughHerrNieDa wrote:Mac is maybe more Stable, Quartz and Syphon also works.

If you are deciding the route to choose. I say go with what fits you.v.j.YOSH wrote:I'll make it simple: Avenue\Arena on PC or Macbook pro? which setup you think is better? SSD on booth ofcourse...
Stability wise they both are good 2go.
MAC has Syphon and Quartz Composer.
Windows platform are more flexible in the graphics card area and motherboard features.
FYI: Hackintoshin a PC was not too much trouble for me, but I am not advocating that you should try it. I've done a laptop and an MSI big bang Marshal board with 8 pci-e slots . Both were i7 type.
Anyways go MAC if you can afford, go PC if you don't need Syphon and/or Quartz
Which is better is only relevant per features, and not so much the type of OS.
Very subjective matter and needing a more intentional purpose.
