Jagged Edges in the advanced output

Post by kmifflin »

This week I had show that required a 0.6 short throw lense at a less then desirable projection placement. Which ended up giving me an extremely keystoned output. I used the advanced output to correct the keystoning which gave me a less then desirable mapping. Luckily it was in Countries largest hall and he nearest audience was over 60' away. Each slice had large jagged edges. Is this I can solve with a video card setting ie anti-aliasing or a setting I'm missing. It's hard to explain this type of thing to client when your renting them a 10k hdsdi projector.

I would imagine this is directly related to the uses of the wide angle lens. anytime you have to keystone with a wide angle, you will have issues.

What resolution is your composition set to?

It may be worth trying a higher resolution to see if that improves the jaggedness.

We're researching and testing anti-aliasing for slice edges. There are some problems with it though, as it could potentially break the Advanced Output for lower grade video card. Long story short, it could be a while before this is added, it it is added at all.
