eyefinity 6

Post by coz3r »

forgive me I know this has been semi covered in other posts but I feel like different setups are getting different results using the same card so I'll just ask outright. Is anyone having decent luck with the eyefinity 6 cards? And if so whats the rest of your setup like?. just curious

I'd also like to know if anyone is successfully using the eyefinity.
I've tryed to do some testing on this and I think an eyefinity setup won't work because once you create a eyefinity group you will end up with a single output for Resolume which means you will loose your control monitor.

hi,
im using an HD 6870 and it works great... every output is available on resolume 3 and 4.
but u have to use active mini DP to VGA or DVI adapters if you use more than 2 outputs.

Are you using a the Eyefinity setup or are you just stating that Radeon cards work ok with Resolume. I don't under stand how your able to have a foh monitor if Eyefinity presents resolume with one large monitor output.

Sorry for the repetive answer, I run my shows on a hd7970, and I've been able to run shows with 8 outputs with the help of multiple tripleheads2go. However I'm not able to have eyefinity enabled. You do this by going into ccc and creating a eyefinity group of outputs. In my experience this creates a single virtual output that resolume see's as a single output. Thus giving you no foh monitor. If I'm wrong about this can you let me know what driver version your using. Simply plugging monitors into the card does not mean your running a eyefinity setup.

Yeah so you doesn't use the eyefinity. It would be nice if there was a way to use it as I find in Arena everytime I add a display in the advanced output my frame rate halfs if I don't disable the match htz to fps setting in ccc. A single display out with eyefinity might fix this, but then your left with no foh screen.

I've had an E6 HD5870 for about a year, and I've never used eyefinity display groups. Just use the windows resolution manager, or the basic display management tools in CCC
