Syphon input/output

Post by Ouananiche »

Hi
I need to record a video performance... I tried the internal record of Resolume but it's not good. I tried to capture with Camtasia but it's not good. I would give a try to Syphon recorder but I just can't find the way to do it.
As shown here http://hearandknow.wordpress.com/2012/0 ... c-video-2/ it should be easy. But I don't have the "Syphon input/output" in my resolume preferences... what should I do?

Hello, I assume You are on Resolume 3.
You need to download, and put in Resolume plugins folder, the Syphon FFGL effect.
Then You could record with Syphon recorder...

Take a look at this:

You will be surprised by the quality. Remember you can configure the quality and the codec on the syphon recorder preferences...

But if you are in R4 you have built-in syphon input and output, you can find it in preference's video tab.
You chek it and go to the output and select Syphon and that's all..

Big up !!!

Built-in Syphon support was added on Resolume 4.1. So make sure your Resolume version is 4.1 or higher.
