Resolume now recognize my microphone and the frequencies, but is not affecting the video. Can someone tell me why?

i vjing for a dj, and i want to use my microphone for my clips react with the music.

I'm start using a m-audio x-session controller. This controller has 12 knobs, but i am only using 6 of them for effects. What could i use fot the other knobs?
