Thanks for the replys !
I got rid of almost all banding in the file, through adding a little noise and first making png files and than exporting to dxv and a little bit of magic.
But still you see some banding when projected, although not in resolume, only on the wall.
Guess that's a beamer issue ...

Re: Unwanted banding
Hi thanks for the reply.
It's a animation out of after effects, which has different shadows etc. so only the gradient effect in rslm will not do, but, maybe a nice feature to play around in the future ;)
So, it's a DXV video.

Unwanted banding
Hi all !
I produced a video which is a moving gradient. Fail, because in the export whatever quality i'm rendering, the banding appears.
Does anyone have a trick to get less banding in resolume ? Maybe a effect ?
Or did you ever found a good trick in After effects to get less ? Or a codec that does ...

What causes delay
Hello,
what is the best setup for real time display/reaction.
Yesterday I had an setup like this :
Laptop - VGA - Edirol V8 - Beamer
There was a small delay on the beamer. And I was pushing all kinds of effects on the beat, and on my output monitor it was exactly on time, and on the beamer there ...

The only thing changed from my last gig till now is my antivirus software, so i got rid of that and it seems less disturbed. But still.

Re: Output monitor ''Refresh'' Problem - stutters
and when i try to make a screenshot it imediately goes to a 'good' frame. So i made a picture of it.
The lines should go on, but there is a weird block in it. And for the rest it doesnt play smoothly.
Plus on a secondscreen it appears ok... but on the output monitor it keeps on doing it.

Output monitor ''Refresh'' Problem - stutters
I have a 640x480 composition, with mostly DXV video's ( or photojpeg ).
When i play a video, it 's not running smoothly, it stops for a moment and than goes on. Sometimes you also see a block of a previous frame so the image is distorted.
The Playhead of the video goes on, so that doesn't stop ...
