you can load your swf-files like any other video-file into your composition.

hello deb,
first you select your source folder and your destination folder.
second you click the button at "3. settings"
in the new window you can choose the dxv-codex at "video / settings". for me it is set on default to h.264.
at compression type you can chose the dxv-codec - thats all.

not so many informations about your os, or the version of ae you use. to make it a little bit easier to you, i answer in german and give you the link to very nice free tool from livid instruments to batch all your files to the dxv-codec.

i had the same problem on my macbook pro.
all my clips were mov (photoJPG) - as recommended in the tutorial and i got a crash around every 5 minutes.
so i converted all files to the new dxv-codec. this was a long work and 2 computers rendered nearly 48h to do - but it was worth!

started bootcamp and added a new windows partition to my mac and installed windows xp pro.
after some tests i lost no single clip, had no crash and everything looked very well.
on my mac i get a crash after 5 minutes - on windows no single crash in 2 hours.

on my macbook pro its the same for me and the most time i get a crash after switching decks too.
its very frustrating to restart the programm every 5 minutes - for me its far away from stable.
