Re: Apple Silicon (M3 Max) performance issues

The actual FPS is still high though, right? so the GPU can do what it needs to.

Set to Auto the FPS is fine and set to 60 it holds with only occasional dips to 59.

Set 50, 30, or 25 and the FPS stays 1-2 frames under the set number. With each lower FPS setting the GPU usage drops as well. At ...

Re: Apple Silicon (M3 Max) performance issues

Do things improve with a clean OS start?

An on/off power cycle of the computer does not change anything.

I have not tried a clean macOS reinstall. Is that something that might help? If so, would I need to reinstall everything onto the computer from scratch or would using a Time Machine back-up ...

Re: Apple Silicon (M3 Max) performance issues

Guys, I have a question from the developers. Do you also have this problem if you have a empty composition with just one (the same) clip playing on the seven layers? And when you experiencing these problems are the clips you use playing from internal or external drives?

A new composition with ...

Re: Apple Silicon (M3 Max) performance issues

I am experiencing issues with a 2023 M3 Max with 36 GB Memory except my issue is heavy GPU usage. While testing this I found that changing the composition frame rate from 'Auto' to '60' improved/lowered the amount of GPU usage so the issues could be related.

Composition settings 1920x1080 Auto

Re: LED strip control, not just video

You could make content to do something like the video link. Build the input map for the LED strips and export the SVG. Take the SVG into After Effects (or similar) and create the chase animation.

Another option would be using a Solid Source for each LED strip. Scale and position at the clip layer ...

Re: Network trigger from Resolume to Madmapper/ 2 macs

The Audio MIDI Setup app in macOS should be able to do this for you. Once the computers are set up, the network session should show up in preferences as a MIDI device. Then set Resolume to output and MadMapper to input.

Re: LAPTOP QUESTIONS RESOLUME

Do I really need so much power 3080 + 64Gb ??? :?

If you're looking to use this laptop for more than Resolume, want it to be as future proof as possible, and can spend the extra $$$ then it's a good idea.

I can see the appeal of the Asus Rog Flow especially for a multi-use laptop but ...

This is a very helpful guide for the Windows portion. I believe Arvol posted this, I bookmarked it and it's come in handy a few times.

Re: Help! my MBP 16" run slower than my 4 years old XPS

There's an app 'Temperature Gauge' for free in the App Store. Not great but free and will tell you if heat is your issue. How do your fans sound? Are they running full speed the entire time?

Try turning stuff off in your composition and you might be able to narrow down some things your Mac doesn't ...

Re: MIDI Speed Assignment

Layer speed is located in the Layer Transport Controls. I think that's what you're looking for. MIDI mapping speed within the clip itself should only give you control over that specific clip.

If I'm remembering correctly the Layer Transport Controls aren't visible the very first time you launch ...
